About Merrillville
The VS Merrillville office is led by Tim Hollandsworth, a highly experienced Project Manager with over a decade in the transportation industry. Tim not only keeps projects on track but also mentors the team and helps shape a positive, collaborative office culture. Under his leadership, our staff delivers projects across Northwest Indiana with efficiency, care, and attention to detail.
Our roots in this region grew even deeper in 2019 when we acquired Radtke Engineering and Surveying, adding valuable expertise in design, project management, surveying, and engineering services. In 2024, we moved our La Porte office to Merrillville to be closer to our clients, better serve their needs, and tap into a growing pool of talent from nearby universities like Purdue Northwest.
Community involvement is also a big part of who we are. Our team actively supports local initiatives like the Making Strides of Northwest Indiana Breast Cancer Walk, the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Indiana, and the Special Olympics Polar Plunge. We also roll up our sleeves for park cleanups, such as the Indiana Dunes, and other local efforts that make a difference right here at home.
Today, the Merrillville team continues to deliver our core services—like transportation and water resources—while also supporting emerging markets such as solar compliance monitoring. As we grow, we remain focused on building strong client relationships and providing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of Northwest Indiana.

Community
The VS La Porte Office is dedicated to contributing to the community which we live. Most staff are long-time area residents and stakeholders with deep roots in the greater LaPorte County area. VS staff enjoy making La Porte their home and being part of this growing and vibrant community.
As an office, VS has supported the La Porte County Salvation Army in its first year as an established office. We look forward to the opportunity to provided summer and school year internships to students based out of our La Porte office as our Northwest Indiana presence continues to grow.
